Following the golden rule will help tremendously...

  1. DO tell the truth in all your correspondences and information in requesting validation and verification from Credit Reporting Agencies (CRA's), Collection Agencies (CA's), and Original Creditors (OC's). RxCreditRepair.com does not recommend lying to any company in credit repair. In fact, we emphatically stress not to do it. Credit repair will be dramatically more successful if you tell the truth to everyone involved.
  2. DO be very tactful in your written correspondences with CRA's, CA's, and OC's. Your job is not to provide them information, but to receive information from them. If you must alter our forms provided, do it judiciously.
  3. DO NOT dispute derogatory trade lines as "Not Mine" is you believe they could be yours. Only dispute them as "Not Mine" if they truly are not yours.
  4. DO pull your credit reports. It will not harm your credit score, and as you will see later, it will INCREASE your credit scores.
  5. DO NOT request that a Fraud Alert be placed on any of your credit reports if no fraud is involved.
  6. DO NOT talk to anyone on the telephone. Nothing good can come from it.
  7. DO NOT run rampant and open up a multitude of accounts. Follow our advice, and open up accounts judiciously. Once you credit is repaired, what sense would it make to open up a credit card with a high annual fee and exorbitant credit rate.
  8. DO remain persistent in your credit repair. Rome was not built in a day, and after 2 to 3 months, you should see significant if not total improvement. If you do not see significant improvement, PERSIST. If you work on repairing your credit long enough, maintaining your credit will become a very good habit.
  9. DO NOT dispute any account without reviewing it first. If you have an account will a balance of $5000 that it still within the Statute of Limitations (SOL) and you do not have $5000, do not pursue this yet. In fact, lay low until SOL can be used as an affirmative defense in case the creditor decides to sue. There is no sense in stirring up trouble on an account like this. Keep in mind that you can still have credit scores over 700 will a derogatory trade line like this.
  10. DO NOT reproduce anything in this site for resale. You may print anything for your own personal use, though.
  11. DO NOT, if you decide not to utilize this program, allow any Credit Repair Organization try to repair your credit aggressively, without regard to your financial safety. What they send out, you may have to answer for.
  12. DO NOT try to settle an account with anything less than a Pay For Delete (PFD). It will not help your credit, and could, in fact, cement a derogatory trade line on your credit reports with only a PAID notation.
  13. DO NOT believe it when a CA or OC tells you that they cannot delete a derogatory trade line. They can (Hint: There is no law requiring them to report a trade line).
  14. DO NOT believe that all banks and credit unions utilize your credit score in the same manner in approving credit. They all use in conjunction with their own underwriting algorithm.
  15. DO NOT lie on any credit application. The consequences are not worth it.
  16. DO everything in an honest and honorable manner. Try to remove your personal feelings. You are only after the removal of the inaccurate, derogatory trade line.
  17. DO follow up on what you commit to. If you wrote that you would follow up in 15 days, follow up in 15 days.
  18. DO opt out from receiving promotional literature from financial institutions. Nothing good can come from it, and don't worry about missing out on any spectacular credit card offer. There really aren't any. Once your credit is repaired, you will have the pick of the litter, and you will know where to find them.
  19. DO NOT fret if you do not understand everything here. It is all explained throughout the site.
  20. DO be very nice and professional, in the unfortunate event that you do speak on the telephone with a CRA, CA, or OC.
